Aweri Foods is a start-up launched by entrepreneur Akshay Awasthi. Our goal is to take authentic Indian foods in a healthier avatar to all Indians. Our flagship product is a unique and delicious Himachali pickle—Dates Pickle or khajoor ka achaar.
Since its start in February 2021, Aweri’s products have been loved by over 50000+ Indians. We have customers across India and our product has received over 800+ five-star reviews on Google, Facebook, Instagram, Amazon and Flipkart.

Story of Aweri Foods
Thank you so much for visiting our website. I am delighted to have you here and I hope that we get to know each other.
Aweri Foods was founded in January 2021, just following the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic. After working for close to 5 years in the corporate sector, I quit my job in a bid to establish my own business. While looking for business ideas, I discovered that there is a market for pickles, but no one is selling dates pickle. I viewed this as an opportunity to share the delicious pickle I had grown up enjoying, with people all around the world.
Why dates pickle, you ask? Well, it’s my grandmother’s recipe. She makes a big jar of the delicious dates pickle every year which we relish with our meals. You should also know that “Aweri” is a small village in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. It is my grandmother’s hometown. I named the brand after this village as tribute to her.
